“Most volunteer fire departments are community based. It’s always been about helping the community, and being one with the community,” Adler said. “The pancake breakfast is just one of the great ways of doing that.” Adler told 12 News the breakfasts raise around $500 each time. TOWN OF BINGHAMTON (WBNG) – After four decades of serving pancake breakfasts, the town of Binghamton Volunteer Fire Company is going strong, dishing out warm plates to continue to strengthen their relationship with community members. The event cost $8 per adult and $4 for a child with all proceeds going toward to supporting the fire company. The station holds the pancake breakfasts on the third Sunday of the month from October until March.
