But the umpire and match officials failed to notice it and Klinger had to depart after scoring 2 runs off 5 balls. The wicket however, didn’t cost Perth too much as Cameron Bancroft’s unbeaten 87 helped the team chase down 178 in 18.5 overs.Bancroft, who is making a return to domestic cricket after a gap of nine months due to his ball-tampering suspension, played 61 balls and smashed 8 boundaries and a six during his knock. Bancroft had earlier hit a 42-ball 59 to script a six-wicket win for Perth Scorchers in their last match against Melbourne Stars. On Sunday, he was ably supported by captain Ashton Turner who made 60 off 30 balls with the help of four boundaries and three sixes. The duo shared a 98-run third-wicket partnership to chase down the target with 7 wickets in hand.Earlier, Sydney posted 177 for 5 on the board after being put into bat with significant contributions from captain Moises Henriques (38) and opener Daniel Hughes (36).advertisementMatthew Kelly and Andrew Tye starred with the ball for the hosts as both picked up two wickets each from their four overs while Usman Qadir got a wicket. Also Read | How Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul got into trouble for Koffee with Karan: A timelineAlso Read | India vs Australia: Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni hit the nets as India prepare for Adelaide ODIFor sports news, updates, live scores and cricket fixtures, log on to indiatoday.in/sports.
